Our One Year Anniversary

That is right!! On March 12 we celebrated our one year anniversary. So if there were any doubters out there then shame on you, cause we made it! Haha j/k. I think if anyone ever had doubts about Kevin and I lasting (for eternity) then they really don't know us very well. Because we are truly perfect for each other. :) So what crazy, fun, exciting things did we do to celebrate our anniversary? Well, I will tell you. We drove up to Logan Friday night and arrived at 12:30am, then drove 5 hours to Boise, ID on Saturday for our cousin Jessica's home coming talk, then drove 5 hours back to Logan on Sunday. Then Monday (our actual anniversary) we drove to SLC and spent 6 hours driving around and looking for an apartment and campus. Which luckily we did find an apartment.

After all of that lovely driving we checked into our Capitol Retreat room at the Anniversary Inn on South Temple. With cider and cheesecake awaiting us. (Highly recommend that place) Oh and you can kind of see the book case of the right that is slanted... Ya that's a secret passage way to the bathroom. Oh and all over the floor, ya that's rose peddles :D

We changed and got all dolled up and headed to Red Lobster. So DELICIOUS and their warm chocolate chip lava cookie dessert is divine!!

Anyway, then we went and test drove a jeep and headed back to our room. Some of you may be thinking, well that's the lamest anniversary I've ever heard and mine was/will be way better. But I have news for you, yes I desperately wanted to go on a cruise and get a tan but I was able to spend ALL Day and night with my husband. Then we woke up to this breakfast. YUM!
We had a day and night with no interruptions, nothing planned, no responsibilities. Just a relaxing time alone together. That's the best thing I could ever ask for, for any anniversary. Someday we'll splurge and go somewhere where I'll get a tan but that's not the important thing. The important thing is that everyday we work on our marriage, we are more in love today then we were a year ago and I am so excited to spend eternity with him. I am seriously head over heels in love with my husband and couldn't be happier. I heard from a lot of people that the first year of marriage is the hardest. From our experience I couldn't imagine a year going any better. Granted, every year will not be so perfect and our upcoming one will be full of adventures to go through, but I'm SO SO blessed to be able to go through these upcoming years with Kevin. Hopefully he feels just as blessed ;)

Crazy, Beautiful Life

Lately as we are coming up on our 1 year anniversary I've been saying how wonderful it has been that we really haven't had to struggle financially or really haven't been in major arguments and that life has basically been awesome! What did that do to us? Jinxed us completely!! Well, not too bad, just a few unexpected things.
A few weeks ago our Honda was having some issues and so we took it into the dealership to find out that the transmission needs to be replaced. Awesome.
We happened to put my Z up for sale and as luck would have it someone bought it during all of these car problems. Luckily we got the Honda back the day the kid wanted to pick up the car. So now we will be a one car family for a little bit until we find something to replace it. Motorcycle, Jeep, Toyota Tacoma are Kev's choices. My choices: Toyota Corolla, another Honda, or Nissan Xterra. Sharing hasn't been too bad, well it's getting better at least. Before, Kevin seemed to get off work late so I just kept thinking that I want to go to the gym and take my classes. I LOVE the gym but it's hard to get my butt there after we've gotten home and after dinner is done and all that jazz. Plus, I love the classes so that the trainer can just tell me what to do. Which is also why I have my Nike Training Club app that gives you workouts and you can choose what you want to do or focus on. LOVE IT!!! Plus, I'm just a happier person once those endorphin's are released. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands, they just don't. :)
Figuring out this whole moving thing is quite stressful on us as well. Mostly because of me, but I won't complain about that now. We just need to get through it and continue on another adventure and I will someday be happy about it and not so stubborn and cause disagreements.
Our Update: in a nutshell is looking for an apartment in Salt Lake (please help if you are able), getting ready to celebrate our 1 Year Anniversary!!!
Kevin: Still working full time, enjoying playing ward ball, looking for a job in SLC, begging for a motorcyle and loving his amazing beautiful wife.
Lachelle: Getting a serious case of Senioritis, LOVE  dancing again and so excited to perform next week and all the other times :) Trying to convince hubs of a sensible car, and loving her handsome, hunk of a husband.

Til next time!

Goodbye my Baby

When I was 15 years old and about to turn 16 my dad started to look for a car for me to have in High School. He has wonderful taste in cars and we bought this beauty. A 1996 Nissan 300ZX, granted in this pic it's wrecked but here's me at 15, a few months before we bought the car.
It served me quite well in High School and was in my opinion a very sexy car.

Sasha and I did meet a few interesting fellows while driving around on the Blvd, raced a few people, got a few tickets, protected it like my own baby....
Farewell to a wonderful first car that served me well for 6 years.

Accepted!!

That is right! My lovely husband here has been accepted to Utah State University and University of Utah!!! Our school of choice will be...

UNIVERSITY OF UTAH(School of Business)!!!!! Kevin is very excited for the change and to have the "University Experience" that Dixie doesn't offer very well. He's ready to be challenged, have more opportunities and be closer to his friends and family. So there you have it! Come late May we're gone to the City of Salt.
