Short Trips

Kevin went up to Idaho and went skiing with his buddies. He had blast but I really don't know details or have pictures since I wasn't there. But I'm glad he was able to go and had fun! Very glad no one was killed either :)

We were able to go down to St. George for less than 48 Hours during President's weekend. One of my friends from high school was getting married and it was a great weekend to go down so we did! It was gorgeous. Just thinking about the sun makes me want to leave work right now and drive down there. But it's raining down there so no point. I'm so sick of these late Friday night drives to where ever we're going then leaving on Sunday trips. But, it will all be worth it by the end of August because we're saving our vacation days for the best vacations of all! Lake Powell and Hawaii. Only 3 months left for Powell and 4 months for Hawaii. We are super excited and realized that we need to do some serious work on the beach bods so that is our date night tonight!

We went to Logan just to hang out with the family for the weekend. During this time I realized it was the very first time I had been with my in-laws for the weekend where we didn't have anything we had to do. Normally our visits are for weddings/blessings/etc. so it was so much fun to hang out with them and relax. Need to do that more often, I quite like my in-laws and am very lucky with the family I married into.

For Easter Kevin's family is meeting up in St. George so we'll be with both of our families for again, less than 48 hours. But that is okay, because we will be in St. George where it is sunny and gorgeous! We'll have to see how we do dividing our time equally between the families too since we've never had to do that before.

Called to Serve

Our little brother Chad has been called to serve in the Louisville, Kentucky Mission! He leaves July 10th and we couldn't be more excited for him. We love you Chaddy-Poo and our so proud of the choice you have made to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'll make sure to send you some of the chicken that you love so much!

We've Moved!

We moved across the valley to a duplex! It feels more like we're in a house and we love it! We only have one neighbor on one side of us and he's one of the nicest elderly man you'll ever meet. It's a 2 bedroom, so for now our second bedroom is more like a "catch all" room but it will become our office whenever we get a desk. Our kitchen is very open and there's a walk-in pantry. We have a nice patio area where the snow is MELTING off. I'm quite excited that the snow is melting but it'll probably snow a few more times before Spring really comes here. Anyway, the duplex is super old and we've had a few plumbing problems come up and we're just glad we're renting so that it's someone elses problem and not ours. We (I) had everything unpacked and put away by Saturday night, so sometime maybe, I'll put pictures up. I have a WHOLE list of things I want to get for the place here and there so for now I feel that it's incomplete. But when is decorating a house ever complete?

Thanks to Kevin's parents and his former boss down in St. George we are Washer & Dryer owners. Seriously, it was like Christmas for me when we brought those in. I was SO excited to do the laundry, goodness what has marriage and growing up done to me?!!

We LOVE our new ward. There aren't (that we've met) a lot of couples our age but everyone is super friendly, outgoing and very welcoming. We also came into the ward that has won several Region Basketball championships and plays every week, huge plus for Kev. Sadly, they lost their game on Wednesday or would have played in the Championship tonight. They do have a banner in the gym that has what years they've won. Ya know, the kind of banners High Schools and Universities put up. It's pretty legit, or at least they try to be.

We're looking forward to this summer filled with BBQ parties in our back yard and getting a few more things for the place.
