Our New Place

Welp!! We're here in good ol' Salt Lake and thank goodness it's not winter :) Here's a few pictures of our new apartment.
Bedroom that we'll be adding some yellow throw pillows and some vinyl on the wall.
 My WALK in closet :)
Kev's own closet

Laundry Room!! Woo! Our last place didn't have this wonderful luxury so you can only imagine how I feel :)

 Our patio

Pantry! Heck yes!

We are all settled and Kevin loves his new job. If you saw on Facebook the other day he was able to drive a Ferrari so he's definitely enjoying it. The only thing that he and I don't like are the hours. But who would ever like hours working from 7 AM-10 PM? Ya, that's what I thought. I start my new job tomorrow and let's just say I'm a little nervous... Actually really nervous. But oh well, nothing intimating about my first full-time job in a place where I've never met the people, in a new city.

Anyway, I don't know what I would do without my brother and sister-in-law here. They are huge life savors and have let me bug them quite a bit this week. Also, they've let me watch the boys and came over to go swimming at our pool. It's so much fun to be close to my nephews too.

We went to our new ward last Sunday and it's going to be different. We miss our old ward SO much and realized that as soon as we walked in. Luckily the Gospel is true :) Oh, but crazy there's another "Lachelle" in the ward but she spells her name with an S. That's just wrong!

That's the gist of the move, just thought I would get something out there in case anyone was curious.

My Rock

My absolute favorite picture of us :D
Today I went through something pretty difficult and all I can say (that I of course already knew) is I married an AMAZING man. Kevin is always there for me when I need a shoulder to cry on, to help me fight my battles, and to be my best friend. I don't know what I would ever do without him. I'm so grateful for him and for our Eternal marriage and the example he is to me. Thanks for loving me, motivating me, having faith in me, keeping me sane and being my best friend! Love you!

The Time is Coming...

In 11 days we will be starting our new adventure in Salt Lake City. Finally, we have jobs!! A few weeks ago as we were getting ready to go to the Temple, Kevin comes out of our room with a smile on his face. Why? Because he was just offered a job! He'll be driving a tow truck for a company in Sandy and they'll work around his school schedule which will be wonderful! After that I said a quick prayer in my heart that I could find a job too. About 30 minutes later I received a call offering me a position at an investment firm. Phew!!! We are so blessed that everything is finally working out! Just like Kevin said it would, but I have a harder time trusting in something I have no control over. Over the past few months I had applied for quite a few jobs, let's say over 80. I had a few interviews up in SLC but that was the end of it. (Big factor being we weren't moving until June and waiting 4 weeks was out of the question since the employers needed someone sooner.) A company called and I had an over the phone interview with a few of the head honchos. Three days later I was notified that I was in the top 3 for the position. The next day I was offered the job. I have never met them or seen the office. Only pictures. But I am so excited that we both have these opportunities with these employers because it will make the transition that much easier.

For now we pack up a few of the items here at my parent's house, make a few last minute details with the apartment and Kevin will leave this Sunday and I'll follow with our belongings the next Friday. When you hear from us next it will be all about the move and the cute apartment we'll be in and the time I'm enjoying by the pool! But secretly always wishing and wanting to be at the lake skiing or wake boarding...Oh what a bitter sweet move this will be...
